New York Giants Fantasy Football Analysis – Week 4

Week 4 – @ Buffalo – W 24-10

QB: Manning a good game and handled the blitz really well.  Accuracy wasn’t excellent in this one but limited the mistakes.

RB: Jennings a good game but it mostly came on one play.  Still looks like the best back on this team with Vereen a close second and Williams a distant third.  Williams led in carries and I have no idea why that happens.

WR: Beckham held to very below average game.  Just didn’t get enough looks in this one but still looked amazing.  Randle a TD but little else.  A serviceable #2 but too hard to trust for fantasy.

TE: Donnell an okay PPR game but wasn’t great.  Just not a big play-maker.

OL: Looked excellent considering opponent.  Run blocking was solid and pass protection was far better than expected.  A+ game for them.

Def: Played pretty well.  Stopped the run.  Contained the passing game to mostly shorter plays.  Pass rush was very good.  Looked very disciplined.  Gave up good games to receiving RB and TE.

Buffalo Bills Fantasy Football Analysis – Week 4

Week 4 – vs NYG – L 10-24

QB: Taylor an okay game but looked pretty rattled at times, especially late.  Was scrambling quite a bit and wasn’t able to handle the constant pressure.

RB: McCoy DNP.  Williams a good game because of a receiving TD but wasn’t able to find much room.  Still looked good running it but there just weren’t any holes in this one.

WR: Watkins DNP.  Harvin and Woods did little.  Just weren’t able to make any plays versus the D.  Were covered well all game.

TE: Clay a good game despite having a TD nullified by a penalty.  Looks great right now but match ups have been favorable.  Worth using but not sure he’ll do it against tougher TE Ds.

OL: Pretty bad in this one.  Did nearly nothing for run game and had QB scrambling a lot.  A little concerning how bad they were.

Def: Not great in this one.  Wasn’t really stopping the run.  Mostly contained passing game but still hit for plenty.  Pass rush wasn’t effective.  Gave up good games to RB and #2 and #3 WR.

New York Jets Fantasy Football Analysis – Week 4

Week 4 – @ Miami (London) – W 27-14

QB: Fitzpatrick an okay game as run game dominated.  Continues to manage games well and feed his WRs.  Not a great start himself but is making his supporting cast good for fantasy.

RB: Ivory a huge game and was dominant in this one.  Ran hard, as usual, and was a load to bring down.  Looks really good running behind decent line right now.  Side note: Zac Stacy looked good on his touches and wasn’t seeking contact like he used to.  Could be a worthwhile grab if Ivory goes down.

WR: Marshall another good game as Decker got the TD.  Both are strong plays right now, especially Marshall.  He’s playing maybe some of the best football of his career at the moment.  Looks awesome.

TE: Nothing.  Continue ignoring.

OL: Looks great all-around.  Almost dominating run game and is protecting really well.  Makes this team very good for fantasy.

Def: Helped by atrocious QB play.  Blitz was amazingly effective.  Not enough runs to judge run D.  Coverage of main 2 WRs was excellent.  Only burned by #3 WR.  Nothing else.

Miami Dolphins Fantasy Football Analysis – Week 4

Week 4 – vs NYJ (London) – L 14-27

QB: Tannehill pretty bad again.  Blitz was killing him and he is going to have to get better really fast against that.  Looks like a bad start against any heavy blitz teams.

RB: Miller still not getting anywhere near the touches he needs.  His lack of touches is part of why they are losing so that could certainly change with the coaching move.  Could be a buy low right now.

WR: Stills a good game and probably benefited from other receivers getting more attention.  Wouldn’t trust.  Landry average but had a TD erased by penalty.  Matthews almost nothing.  Both will probably bounce back.

TE: Cameron did little.  Hopefully, he’ll also benefit from coaching change as he needs to see more targets for this team to be good as well.

OL: Is playing terrible against the heavy blitz.  Just isn’t picking it up and QB is doing them no favors.  Run blocking is okay but it can’t be done when you are trailing quickly.

Def: Trounced on the ground again.  This D looks horrific right now, especially considering the talent.  Coverage isn’t bad but they aren’t good enough to stop elite WRs.  Gave up huge game to RB.  Good games to WRs.
