Minnesota Vikings Fantasy Football Analysis – Week 3

Week 3 – vs SD – W 31-14

QB: Teddy didn’t have to do much as ground game dominated.  Made a few bad decisions and throws and needs to clean that up.  Doesn’t look as good as last season just yet.  Still believe it will come.

RB: Peterson a monster game and just couldn’t be stopped.  Just can’t emphasize how much he stands out versus every other back in the league in terms of running skills.  Simply amazing.

WR: Wallace average while Johnson did nearly nothing.  Running game dominated but they called a lot of plays where throws went to back ups.  Hard to make sense of this passing attack right now.

TE:  Rudolph did little but not worried.  Game flow.

OL:  Strong game for the run as they were doing just enough to free RB.  Solid on limited pass protection.

Def: A little below average against the run.  Lead kept that from getting ugly.  Blitz was really good against the pass.  Still couldn’t stop it but a lot came against prevent.  Gave up monster to #1 WR.  Average games everywhere else.

San Diego Chargers Fantasy Football Analysis – Week 3

Week 3 – @ Minnesota – L 14-31

QB: Rivers blitzed and rushed a ton.  Line was not helping much.  Looked fairly good when he had time and INT wasn’t really his fault.

RB: Gordon an okay game but continues to look impressive when given space.  Has really impressive vision and seems to always fall forward.  Woodhead didn’t do much.  Oliver still looks like a very good back up.

WR: Allen a monster game although second TD came in garbage time.  Just catches everything and baffling that he disappears like he has.  Should be getting a ton of targets every week.  Johnson an average game where most came on one catch.  Floyd was the #2 target in this one and looked good but can’t be trusted.  Too many mouths here.

TE: Green DNP.  Third stringer played.  Enough said.

OL: Did an average job for run game but couldn’t handle blitz.  Pressure was just too much for them.

Def: Couldn’t tackle Peterson.  Got run on for plenty.  Coverage was good but there weren’t many throws and receivers aren’t really elite.  Gave up monster to RB and not much else.
