Washington NFL Franchise Fantasy Football Analysis – Week 7

Week 7 – vs TB – W 31-30

QB: Cousins a huge game against a terrible passing D.  Wasn’t rushed much and picked apart D with ease.  Not going to happen against better teams.

RB: Jones a barely average game.  Runs were limited due to early deficit.  Looked decent but line still needs improvement.

WR: Garcon an okay game but didn’t get enough looks.  Grant got TD but nothing to trust there.  Crowder another decent PPR game and should continue doing that.  Lesser version of Welker-type player.

TE: Reed returned and had huge game.  Looked awesome and made great plays on the ball.  No reason it won’t continue as long as he’s healthy.

OL: Did little for run game on limited carries.  Protected well against weaker D.  Still nothing to get excited about.

Def: Blown away.  Trampled by run game and gave up plenty to receivers.  Coverage just terrible as usual.  Pass rush was irrelevant.  Gave up big games to RB and #1 WR.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fantasy Football Analysis – Week 7

Week 7 – @ Washington – L 30-31

QB: Winston a good game but wasn’t overly accurate.  Receivers made plays for him.  Does seem to be progressing pretty well.  Just needs targets to stay/get healthy.

RB: Martin another big game and is looking great right now.  Came against tough match up and he gashed the D.  Line is giving him space and he is killing.  Sims okay game but is no threat to Martin.

WR: Jackson injured early.  Evans a huge game and looks fully healthy.  Made some great plays on the ball and looked like the player from last season.

TE: Seferian-Jenkins should be back soon.  No one else matters for fantasy.

OL: Great game in fairly tough match up.  Handled good pass rush all game long.  Run blocking was excellent.  Open up just enough for runners to exploit D.

Def: Run D was solid but early lead limited attempts against.  Torched by the pass again.  Really wasn’t covering anything.  O was finding holes in coverage all game.  Gave up huge game to TE.  Decent games to WRs.

Pittsburgh Steelers Fantasy Football Analysis – Week 7

Week 7 – @ KC – L 13-23

QB: Jones came down to earth and had bad game.  Wasn’t accurate and made some terrible reads.  Lucky to have elite targets to help him get the numbers he did get.

RB: Bell a good game despite being underused.  Should have got more carries.  Just amazing patience and vision.

WR: Brown and Bryant good games and only need the ball to be close to them to get their numbers.  Both make great plays when given the chance.  Must-starts, especially when Ben returns.

TE: Miller shutout.  Will be better when Ben gets back.  Wouldn’t be worried.

OL: Played well against tough front.  QB play hurt.  Was making good holes for run game.  Protected pretty well considering match up.

Def: Run on for plenty.  Got dominated by O line.  Not much of a pass rush.  Wasn’t covering non-elite receivers well.  Gave up good games to everybody.

Kansas City Chiefs Fantasy Football Analysis – Week 7

Week 7 – vs Pittsburgh – W 23-13

QB: Smith a usual game for him.  Not great, not terrible.  Nothing new to see here.

RB: West a huge game and looked great behind good blocking.  Runs really well and allows blockers to do work.  Showed great vision and kept falling forward.

WR: Maclin DNP.  Conley a big game and looked okay but nothing stellar.  Wilson a decent game and shows flashes if he is used correctly.  Could be a lesser version of Landry if they wanted to involve him like that.

TE: Kelce a nice game and continues to be great when they give him targets.  Makes great plays even when the throw isn’t great.

OL: Excellent game, especially on the ground.  Was opening big holes for runners.  Held their blocks well.  Protection was just as good.

Def: Torched by stars.  Helped by third stringer at QB.  Wasn’t stopping elite runner.  Couldn’t cover elite WRs as usual.  Gave up good games to all but TE.  All WRs should be started against.
