Tennessee Titans Week 17 Fantasy Analysis

Week 17 – vs Indy – L 10-27

QB: Whitehurst was terrible.  Hope for this team’s sake that he doesn’t start a game next season.

RB: Greene a good game with most coming on one play.  Sankey looked okay but neither RB gets much blocking.  Line needs big overhaul.

WR: Wright a TD but little else.  WRs suffered because of QB play.

TE: Walker an okay game and good PPR game.  Good player but needs a better QB throwing to him.

OL: Just awful.  Needs wholesale changes in the off-season.

Def: Run D was better than usual but it came against a weak run game.  Torched through the air.  Gave up big games to total QB, #2 WR, and TE.

Tennessee Titans Week 16 Fantasy Analysis

Week 16 – @ Jacksonville – L 13-21

QB: Whitehurst played decent and had okay game.  Was rushed and took some hits but stood strong despite the poor blocking.

RB: Sankey average and not getting enough room to do much.  Still think the talent is there but this line needs to improve for him to be relevant.  Washington a big game receiving but definitely fluky.

WR: Wright a good game but still not showing the consistency of last season.  Washington did little and still can’t be trusted.

TE: Walker an okay game but not enough targets in this one.  Still seems like the best receiver on the team.

OL: Still terrible.  Not a horrendous game but still a glaring weakness on this team.

Def: Couldn’t stop the run again.  O didn’t throw much.  Showed some pass rush when they did.  Gave up good games to RBs and TE.

Tennessee Titans Week 15 Fantasy Analysis

Week 15 – @ Tennessee – W 16-11

QB: Locker hurt and done.  Whitehurst played badly and made a bad offense even worse.  This is a pit at this point and there is no hope for much of anything.

RB: Greene okay against his old team but nothing to care much about.  Have to see more and doubt that happens.

WR: Washington a good game but nothing to trust.  QB situation to unsettled to risk using him.  No other WR matters right now.

TE: Walker a good game but same story as WRs.  Would stay away unless match up is phenomenal.

OL: Average game all-around.  Wasn’t as bad as expected against good D-line but didn’t do enough to really help team win either.

Def: Hurt by a couple big plays but wasn’t as bad as they normally are.  Contained the run well.  Gave up good games to RB and #1 WR.  Held rest in check.

Tennessee Titans Week 7 Fantasy Analysis

Week 7 – @ Washington – L 17-19

QB: Whitehurst was better but still not great for fantasy and still hurting the fantasy options on this team.  Hopefully, he does not play rest of season.

RB: Sankey got the bulk of the work with Greene out and looked pretty good when blocking was there.  Even broke a few tackles in the back field when blocking wasn’t there.  I’d buy low on him if I had the roster space.

WR: Wright a big game getting a TD after a nice short run.  Looked really good this game and should be a good option when Locker gets back.  Hunter and Washington did little and got few looks.

TE: Walker did little and disappointed.  Have to hope he gets better when Locker returns.  Might have to bench until then.

OL: Decent game but not great.  Run blocking was up and down.  RB made them look better than they were.  Did okay against pass rush and QB probably made them look a little worse than they were.

Def: Helped by bad QB play.  Did okay against the run.  Gave up a lot to WRs and TEs but mostly on big plays.  Was solid most of the game.

Tennessee Titans Week 6 Fantasy Analysis

Week 6 – vs Jacksonville – W 16-14

QB: Whitehurst is awful.  Missed quite a few throws, had balls batted down, and took some unnecessary hits.  Makes these receivers so much worse for fantasy.

RB: Greene DNP.  Sankey was okay but the blocking wasn’t great.  Showed nice speed, patience, and vision when he had room.  Needs better QB play to take pressure off.  McCluster had nice receiving game.

WR: Hurt by bad QB.  Wright barely looked at as quite a few throws went long.  Hunter made a few long grabs.  Washington did little.

TE: Walker okay but also hurt by QB.  Continues to look great when he gets some space after the catch.

OL: Not great but better than score indicated.  Decent job on run blocking but wasn’t consistent.  Pass blocking was okay but QB took some hits he shouldn’t have and made them look worse.

Def: Stopped the run game because of bad O-line.  Gave up a lot through the air to WRs and TE.  Has been really weak against WRs so far.

Tennessee Titans Week 5 Fantasy Analysis

Week 5 – vs Cleveland – L 28-29

QB: Locker looked really good but got hurt again.  Whitehurst much better this week.  Almost looked like a nice fantasy option.

RB: Greene and Sankey looked great early but tailed off as the game went on.  Offense strangely abandoned the run a bit late when they should have been running clock.  Baffling.

WR: Wright and Hunter had huge games.  Wright even got a couple carries and ran well.  Want to believe in them when they play like this.  Washington was decent but the lesser talent by far.

TE: Walker only average this game but caught all of his targets.  Looked good but just didn’t get as many throws as he has been.  Should be better in the weeks to come.

OL: Decent game all-around.  Run blocking was very good early.  Blame coach for going away from run later.  Pass blocking was decent but did give up some sacks.  Definitely the weakness.

Def: Gave up a ton on the ground because of over-pursuing then RB making a cutback.  Happened a ton.  Pass D was not great.  Got burned by the backup WRs (Gabriel and Benjamin) worse than the starters.

Tennessee Titans Week 4 Fantasy Analysis

Week 4 – @ Indianapolis – L 17-41

QB: Whitehurst was all kinds of awful.  Throws were atrocious.  Receivers had to make a lot of good plays just to catch the ones that were close.

RB: This team can run but chooses not to.  Sankey looked solid but a lot of his carries came when they were already down.  Greene looks fine but only 3 touches.

WR: QB play killed.  Wright was okay.  Hunter missed a catch that went for an INT.  Wouldn’t look too much into this one.

TE: Walker another big game and made a great catch with double-coverage for his TD.  Is an absolute stud right now.

OL: Run blocking is there but play-calling isn’t.  Pass blocking looked worse than it was because of QB.

Def: Torched by Luck to WRs and TEs.  Did an okay job against the run but was facing weak run blocking line.  Pass rush was decent.
